Weetbix Mixture

Weetbix Mixture
Weetbix Mixture
In continuation of Weet-Bix Halwa recipe here comes my next recipe “WeetBix Mixture”. This is a savory recipe which is absolutely guilt free as it consumes only 3 tsp of oil for 2 cups of mixture. WeetBix is crushed and roasted along with peanuts, curryleaves, roasted gram and other spices.
For this Diwali I wanted to give recipes which are less than 20 minutes, primarily because for 2 groups of people – the working women where the festival time starts only on the actual day and for mommies in Singapore who are stuck with primary annual exams this week. It includes me as well J.  I didn’t want to make dishes which takes beyond 10 minutes and wrap up my shoot & blog writing before my girl comes back from school. In a way it is good, as I was able to prepare innovate dishes under this category.

Coming back to the dish, the mixture is prepared with very less oil and weet bix is absolutely guilt free. This is ideal for people with diabetes, cholesterol and weight watchers. If you are in India you may refer to this amazon link with varied varieties of weetbix  . If you are in Singapore, this is available in many super markets.

Weetbix Mixture

Notes

è Weet bix must be crushed roughly only. It should not be powdered. If powdered, it would then get burnt very quickly.

è Adjust the chili powder taste. You may wish to add chat masala about ½ tsp.

è You may add cashews and raisins. Taste, cooking time and oil consumption must be adjusted accordingly.
